This miniature teapot was donated in memory of Mrs. Jeanette Duncanson Peterson, the mother of John Drew’s (the donor’s) wife who lived in Almonte. Jeanette was born in Scotland in the late 1800s, and later married an Irishman. She played with this teapot as a child, which was an accessory for a miniature cast iron stove made by ‘Eclipse’ which was first patented in 1893 or 1895.
